Launch of the 2026 hybrid work observatory

Organizations are undergoing profound transformations, particularly around hybrid work. In 2026, how are companies adapting to the widespread adoption of remote work, evolving management practices, and the rapid rise of generative AI in professional use?

Starting on February 3, 2026, Arctus launches the third edition of the Hybrid and Augmented Work Observatory.
An open study for all professionals, designed to decode the new realities of work and shed light on the transformations underway.

Measuring the evolution of hybrid work: tools, management and governance

Launched in 2022 in the wake of the health crisis, the Hybrid Work Observatory was designed to analyze how digital technologies are sustainably transforming the organization of work.

Since then, the context has evolved significantly.
From 2023 onwards, the widespread availability of generative AI tools accessible to all has accelerated transformations: new ways of producing content, collaborating and making decisions… as well as new questions around the role of managers, employee autonomy and governance frameworks.

With the 2026 edition, the Observatory adopts a broader vision of work hybridization, which goes beyond the alternation between on-site and remote work to fully integrate the impact of AI on professional practices.

2024 overview: tools in place, transformations still in progress

The 2024 report of the Observatory highlighted a dual gap: while the technical conditions for hybrid work are now in place, managerial practices are still struggling to keep up, while generative AI is already emerging as a major driver of work transformation.

Tools in place, but management still in transition

The digital tools required for hybrid work are widely deployed across organizations.
However, 1 in 2 companies believe that managers’ adaptation to hybrid work is not satisfactory, revealing a persistent gap between technical setups and managerial practices.

Generative AI opens a new era of hybrid work

While the use of generative AI is still emerging, projections are unequivocal:
63% of organizations anticipate regular or even daily use of generative AI in their professional activities, confirming its structuring role in the evolution of working practices.

  • These findings raise a key question: will the tipping point be fully reached in 2026?
  • Will the adoption of generative AI and the evolution of managerial practices live up to the projected expectations?

This is precisely the ambition of the new edition of the Hybrid and Augmented Work Observatory.

2026 Edition: Hybrid Work Put to the Test by AI

This new edition explores three key dimensions, which are inseparable in the reality of organizations:

  • Hybrid work tools, including generative AI

  • Management, and its evolution in the digital age

  • Governance, put in place to frame and support these transformations

The objective is to understand what is really happening on the ground, through actual uses, practices and the choices made by organizations.

The questionnaire is structured around questions that lie at the heart of current organizational concerns:

  • Where do companies really stand in the implementation of hybrid work?

  • How are digital tools, and generative AI in particular, transforming the way people work?

  • What impact does this have on management, collaboration and content production?

  • How are employees being supported in the face of these rapid transformations?

  • Which practices are emerging, which gaps persist, and which levers can be activated?

Why and how to take part in the 2026 Hybrid and Augmented Work Observatory?
