26 July 2022

In recent years, organizations have been subjected to unprecedented upheavals forcing them to question their working methods, the role of managers and the place of employees. This urgency to adapt takes the form of a “hybridization of work”, between remote and face-to-face.

What have organizations put in place to integrate work hybridization?
How do they accompany this change while preserving the quality of life at work? How does the manager become hybrid to set up a real hybridization of work?

This is what we sought to understand in the 1st edition of the Observatory of hybrid work and digital management, our new online study.

ABOUT THE OBSERVATORY

For over 20 years, Arctus has been conducting studies to analyze internal digital transformation trends and assist decision-makers and project leaders in the evolution of their organizations.

This year, we are launching a brand new biennial study to follow the transformations of the work environment, both on the technological and human aspects.

The Observatory includes an online survey, the fieldwork of which lasted from February 2 to April 4, 2022, and qualitative interviews with experts from different fields (HR, communication, digital technology, change management, sociology, etc.).

WHAT TO KNOW FROM THIS 1ST EDITION?

  1. The hybridization of work is an inevitable, but unfinished evolution
  2. A new posture of hybrid managers expected by employees, in search of autonomy and confidence
  3. The transformational power of the last two years in the way of working, producing and collaborating, prevents any backtracking
  4. Managers are acculturated to digital but must support their teams in accelerating new practices and adopting tools
  5. Few original initiatives, in terms of change management and measurement of digital transformation, to help employees in the hybridization of work
  6. General Management and the IT Department at the forefront of change management

THE REPLAY OF THE RESTITUTION OF THE RESULTS

Arctus presented the results of the Observatory of hybrid work and digital management during a webinar organized in partnership with the French Association of Internal Communication on June 14th.

In this replay, find:

  • a summary of the results of the quantitative study
  • exchanges with the invited experts (Aurélie Dudezert – research professor at the Institut Mines Télécom Business School and Olivier Boileau – associated with TASTE Executive Search) on their definition of hybrid working, the challenges of hybrid working for managers, the advantages and disadvantages of hybrid working and their vision of working in the future.
